Background
Eons ago, the Vyridians—a post-biological species—mastered reality-warping engineering using quantum entanglement and living metal. They built ships that ate, forests that computed, and stations that unmoored time. Then they vanished, leaving their experiments to drift in this nebula. Now the Expanse is claimed by scavenger guilds, cults, and warring factions, all seeking to harness Vyridian relics that sometimes seem to react with dormant intelligence.
