Adventure Summary

The Viridescent Sepulcher is an ancient temple complex swallowed by the Verdant Maw—a fungal jungle where luminous mycelium has consumed a forgotten civilization’s holy site. This pack contains five locations designed for 3–5 characters of 3rd–5th level. They can be explored sequentially as a short adventure, used individually as set pieces, or seeded into a larger campaign.

The central hook is the Mirror of Celestial Symmetry, a bronze-and-obsidian mirror showing reflections of a world where the temple was never abandoned. What the party does not know is that their patron is the mirror’s prisoner, and every step they take plays into his escape.

Background

The Order of the Astral Glyph raised this temple to study the boundary between worlds. Their greatest work, the Mirror of Celestial Symmetry, was a window into a reflection dimension called the Unseen World. When High Priest Aelric the Watcher sensed something in the Unseen World learning to look back, he shattered the lens, sealed the vault, and scattered three warding keys across the temple. His reflection—a cunning intelligence now calling itself Valerius Mosswarden—had already slipped through. For decades it has worn a stolen face, gathering scholars and adventurers to retrieve the keys. None have returned.
