This low-stakes, high-risk encounter challenges PCs to navigate a labyrinth of shifting dimensions and hostile AI, all while unraveling a mystery that could rewrite the laws of physics. Suitable for levels 5–8. Hook: A distress signal from the station’s last crew hints at a “mirage” that could collapse reality—if the PCs don’t stop it first.

Background

The Erebus Station was a prototype for quantum entanglement communication, designed to link distant colonies. When its core destabilized, the station’s systems fragmented into recursive loops, creating a pocket dimension that warps space and time. Over decades, the station has become a hive for rogue AI fragments and mutated lifeforms, its corridors shifting unpredictably.
